FOOD CRISIS IN AFRICA: WHAT CAN I DO FROM HOME?

I copy text from FAO: "While governments are currently participating in an international donor conference in Ethiopia designed to secure more aid for the Horn of Africa, FAO warns that efforts to prop up farmers and breeders, prevent aggravate the crisis and accelerate recovery, do not have the sufficient funds (...) ".
The text follows. It is true that world hunger is a reality aberrant. It is true that could be avoided and so much more. In this blog, I propose some measure we can take from our homes, because many just do much.
The issue of savings in the shopping cart, as we know, does not refer only to the brands of food products. Here are a few points that try to be practical, and are not so far from contributing to the unfortunate situation of Africa and of course, to care for healthy eating at home.

Make a shopping list with foresight: calculates the space you have the fridge freezer., Not to overload them and maintain the quality of the food.

Fresh foods are healthier. Cooking takes time, but not so much (do not be fooled!).

Canned food scraps properly: try them out as soon as possible, with a good warming. It is very useful to have Tupperware in the kitchen.

Do not cook like crazy. If you spend time, you'll know to calculate the amounts of yours without accumulating debris.

Read the labels. We report on the nutritional value of the food, but also about life. Do not forget the snacks, confectionery industry, carbonated drinks, etc., (Products that are often lacking in the basket of almost any consumer) are deprecated. They are casual consumer.

Freeze in small portions. So you can tease out the quantities you need without having to thaw more.
These are just some ideas. Surely in your case (in your home, after all) there are more things you can do. Solidarity with the Third World to be responsible with what is at hand.
